This is a new role for Oleeo. We are looking for a qualified lawyer to provide contract advice and support, as well as ideally be able to negotiate the best outcome in regards to Oleeos’ client contracts.

It is a part-time role of 2 days a week, and would suit a commercial/IT/IP/SaaS service contract lawyer with strong interpersonal skills, high level private practice and in house experience, who wants a flexible role with a high degree of autonomy and a variety of work.

The primary focus is to work with sales and account management assessing new and renewing contracts; advising the teams strategically and ensuring robust and commercially viable contracts are consistently established. At times, at the discretion of the CEO, your further legal expertise on wider matters may be sought.

 Some of the activities you will focus on will be:

  • New contract advice and if required, creating new terms that are more consistently favourable for Oleeo.
  • Contract renewal advice for the account management team
  • Work with the Commercial Manager, Global Head of Sales, and the account management team.
  • Directly report into the CEO providing high level feedback and advise on ensuring commercially viable contracts.
  • Negotiating the best outcomes commercially for Oleeo contracts with our clients.
  • Ideally analyse and report on contracts, providing recommendations for improvement to the customer experience and industry insight.
  • Qualified lawyer with ideally experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) contract law (IPR, Indemnities, Data Protection), but we may consider a bright qualified lawyer who is wanting to specialise in the SaaS space
  • You will have experience of:
    • Technology, including software licensing, systems integration, website/app development, SaaS and other cloud related work.
    • Data, including exploitation of data, data protection and privacy and understanding implications of GDPR
    • Commercial agreements, including outsourcing, supplier agreements, software and technology agreements.
  • Ability to, on occasion, support with other legal matters, such as overseas law, Human Resources and Property Law.
  • Strong communicator
  • Team player who is able to deal with ambiguity and work under your own initiative
  • Excellent organisation skills and a can-do attitude, you’ll quickly be able to prioritise multiple demands resolving issues
  • You will have what it takes to make change happen.
