This is a new role for Oleeo. We are looking for a qualified lawyer to provide contract advice and support, as well as ideally be able to negotiate the best outcome in regards to Oleeo's client contracts.


The role will see you handle a broad range of legal work including client and partner contracts, procurement frameworks and GDPR matters.


You will need to be an experienced, well rounded and versatile lawyer who is able to communicate effectively within the business and to clients.


The primary focus is to work with the commercial and account management teams assessing new and renewing contracts; advising the teams strategically and ensuring robust and commercially viable contracts are consistently established. At times your further legal expertise on wider matters may be sought.


Some of the work you will focus on will be:


  • New contract advice and if required, creating new/updated terms that are more consistently favourable for Oleeo including main contract template as well as NDA’s, partner and referral agreements
  • Contract renewal advice for the account management team
  • Work with the Commercial Manager, Global Head of Sales, and the account management team providing contract support 
  • Reviewing and advising on new partner contracts
  • Directly report into the CEO providing high level feedback and advise on areas such as risk and commercial viability
  • Support in negotiating the best outcomes commercially for Oleeo contracts with our clients
  • Review/advise on public sector procurement framework agreements 
  • Support on client and employee data protection enquiries and process 


The role would suit a commercial/IT/SaaS service contract lawyer with strong interpersonal skills and ideally in house experience, who wants a flexible role with a high degree of autonomy and a variety of work. We welcome flexible working and working remotely and if you want to come into the office once every couple of months to meet some of the team that would also be welcome. The hours should ideally be spread across 2-3 days a week to offer the business adequate coverage including being able to support our US West and East coast time zones.

  • Commercially savvy 
  • Strong communicator internal including at board level and with clients
  • Client and partner contracts 
  • Procurement frameworks 
  • Data protection experience - all aspects of GDPR for customers and employees 
  • A level of awareness on IP law 
  • US law general knowledge would be a bonus to work with our US counterparts
  • SaaS industry experience welcome!
